“Santa Claus Came by Train” at the Skopje Railway Station

Date:
December 23, 2024

The multimedia New Year’s event for children, “Santa Claus Came by Train”, will premiere on December 23 at 7 p.m. at the Skopje Railway Station. The performance will take place on stage, in a museum exhibition, and on platform number 1.

In collaboration with Macedonian Railways, the theater school From Play to Performance has restored a 1942 locomotive and a 1950s cargo car, which was in service until the late 1970s, specifically for this play.

The event will offer a unique experience, where both children and adults who believe in Santa Claus can witness the grand arrival of Santa Claus in Skopje on a real train at platform number 1. The play follows Santa’s journey before his arrival at the train station.

The project is authored and produced by Miodrag Kostić, with the text and direction by Igor Ivković. The cast includes Darko Veljić, Andrej Serafimovski, Todor Stojkovski, Mila Trajkovski, Vedra Dimova, Aleksandar Spiroski, and children from the From Play to Performance theater school.

After the premiere on December 23, additional performances will be held on December 26, 27, 29, and 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at the train station box office and through the MK Tickets network.
