With great pleasure, we announce the international event “Skopje – European Capital of Culture 2028: Shaping the Future of Skopje”, which will take place on 23 April 2026 at Hotel Alexander Palace, Skopje.
Organized in cooperation with the City of Skopje, Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski, CAPRIS – UKIM, and UNDP North Macedonia, this important gathering comes after months of dedicated preparation, coordination, and shared commitment. It marks a significant step in shaping Skopje’s future through culture, dialogue, and European cooperation.
The event will bring together leading institutions, mayors, European partners, experts, universities, and representatives of international organizations to open a meaningful and strategic discussion on the future of the city. The conference will focus on contemporary urban policies, dynamic cultural development, and sustainable European practices that can contribute to a more innovative, inclusive, and prosperous Skopje.
