🎷 Jazz Lecture: Quintessence by Quincy Jones 🎷

The National Jazz Orchestra is kicking off the new concert season with an unmissable event – Jazz Lecture: Quintessence by Quincy Jones!

This concert will dive into the incredible big band repertoire of the versatile musical genius Quincy Jones, starting with his debut album from 1959, along with exclusive unreleased arrangements. The program will also feature his arrangements for Frank Sinatra and the Count Basie Orchestra, as well as big band arrangements from his later pop period, when Quincy dominated as an arranger and producer.

The poster for the event features the graphic “Colorful Jazzer” by academic painter Sergej Andrevski, from his Jazzers cycle, marking the first of many artworks to be used for this year’s concert posters.
