Under the auspices of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and co-organized by the Faculty of Philology “Blaze Koneski”, the Institute of Macedonian Literature, and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, this two-day international scientific conference will begin on Friday, November 29, 2024.
The conference aims to explore and conceptualize the relationship between mythical thought and dramatic/theater creation in an interdisciplinary, historical, and diachronic context. The focus will be on critical approaches from literary studies, comparative literature, and theatrology, particularly in relation to the aesthetics, semiotics, and dramaturgy of both traditional and contemporary narratives in drama and theater.
Over fifty experts in the fields of humanities and theater studies from countries including France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Morocco, Finland, and more, will be presenting at the conference.
In addition to the conference sessions, there will be workshop presentations on creative writing and theater performance, led by Zoja Buzalkovska, Maja Stevanović, and Aleksandar Stepanulevski from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje.
