These working sessions aimed to transfer knowledge and experience in the process of preparing the candidacy of Skopje for ECoC 2028 and to acquaint us with the current priorities and challenges in the development and evaluation of the programmes of the European Capitals of Culture.
The session was led by the professors’ Franco Bianchini (Italy / UK) and Jonathan Goodacre (UK), experts in the field of culture with significant engagement and experience in developing, running and evaluating programs in several European Capitals of Culture, including Cork 2005 (Ireland), Liverpool 2008 (England), Matera 2019 (Italy), Galway 2020 (Ireland) and Rijeka 2020 (Croatia).
Participants at the session were the members SKOPJE 2028 team, the member of the Coordination Body “Skopje 2028 – candidate for European Capital of Culture” (composed of representatives of the Government, Ministry of Culture, City of Skopje, city and national cultural institutions and representatives of civil society), European Diploma participants, and other invited professionals from the culture and convergent sectors.
This session was realized in the big hall of the Council of the City of Skopje on August 30, 2021.
