Campaign “We read contemporary Macedonian authors”:

  • 3rd cycle completed with 4 new books of the month
  • 4 conversations with authors
  • 4 readers’ clubs
    (4 new ones to come!)

Recognition:

  • We received the Promoter of Reading Culture award from the Macedonian Association of Publishers (MAI).

Project “Poland on the Shelf” in collaboration with the Polish Embassy:

  • Seminar for 50 librarians from across Macedonia
  • Exhibition of graphics by students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow
  • Events featuring Polish authors for both children and adults

Study trip to Wroclaw and Krakow:

  • A priceless experience shared with Polish colleagues during visits to various types of libraries.

Reopened Library “13 November”:

  • After 11 years, the Kisela Voda neighborhood has its own library again at the Cultural Center “Biljana Belichanec.”
  • Due to demand, we’re now operating in two shifts!

Published & promoted:

  • “Anthology of the Future”, a result of our Creative Writing Workshop for high school students and university students with writer Alekandar Rusjakov. The success of the first workshop inspired the launch of the second, which went incredibly well!

Renovated small reading room in the central building.

Digitalized collection of Ante Popovski:

  • We promoted the digitalized works of the great Ante Popovski, in collaboration with the family and Antevo Pero Association.
