[VIDEO] ECoC Talk #3: Timișoara 2023

The third interview in the “ECoC Talks” series with representatives of current and future ECoC cities is with Simona L. Neumann, Executive Director of the Association Timișoara – European Capital of Culture 2023.

Timișoara was selected to be a Romanian city holding the title European Capital of Culture for the year 2021. The candidacy is developed under the programme concept “Shine your light – Light up your city!” Due to the effects of the coronavirus crisis, the European Commission proposed that Timișoara postpone its title for the year 2023. This proposal was formally adopted by the European Parliament and the Council in December 2020.
