Date: December 16-17, 2024
The Macedonian National Theatre (MNT) will host two premiere performances of “Imagine a New World” on December 16th and 17th. This innovative play, directed by Nela Vitošević, is a collage of seven works by the renowned author Goran Stefanovski: “Black Hole”, “Flight to Place”, “Chernodrinski Returns Home”, “Wild Meat”, “Now His Mother Is”, “Tattooed Souls”, and “The Tower of Babel”.
The play is set in a postmodernist framework, with songs composed by Ognen Anastasovski serving as a connective tissue throughout the performance. Featuring a star-studded cast, including Igor Angelov, Verica Nedeska, and Damjan Cvetanovski, the production also boasts set design by Konstantin Trpenoski and costumes by Roza Trajchevska-Ristoska.
Imagine a New World delves into timeless themes that reflect the challenges of our society, told through the unforgettable characters from Stefanovski’s plays. This project, part of Telekom’s #MakeAPlace campaign, aims to address social issues and inspire their resolution.
Following the premiere, the play will remain part of MNT’s regular repertoire.
