Mayor Danela Arsovska and Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska Present the Candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2028

Mayor of Skopje, Danela Arsovska, and Minister of Culture, Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska, held a working meeting with a part of the Skopje2028 team regarding the candidacy of Skopje for the European Capital of Culture 2028. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Skopje will present the planned activities and cultural program as part of the candidacy for the prestigious title of Skopje European Capital of Culture 2028 in Brussels. A detailed program with a long-term development strategy for culture has been prepared, which includes numerous details about Skopje, its rich history, and cultural and historical monuments. It is particularly important that through joint efforts of municipal and national cultural institutions, the Ministry of Culture, the Government, and the municipalities of Skopje, we are moving towards our goal, and Skopje has received support from numerous European cities and cultural institutions.

The candidacy for the prestigious title of European Capital of Culture 2028 represented a complex process involving municipal and state cultural institutions, many active figures in the field of culture, and experts. Skopje2028 continues to move forward with great innovation and a wealth of cultural and artistic content.
