“Lucia di Lammermoor” at the National Opera and Ballet

Get ready for an unforgettable night of opera! On December 11, at 20:00, one of the most iconic works in the bel canto opera repertoire, Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti, will be performed at the National Opera and Ballet. 🌟

This psychological masterpiece will be conducted by the esteemed Dario Salvi (Scotland/Italy) and directed by Lev Pugliese (Italy), with set design also by Pugliese and costumes by Marija Pupučevska. The concertmaster is Jane Bakevski, and the choir will be led by Đurđica Dašić and Jasmina Đurđeska. 🎼

💫 Starring Ana Durlovski
The title role of Lucia will be performed by Ana Durlovski, a brilliant debutante whose technique and intonation precision have earned her acclaim across Europe and the world. She will be joined by an incredible team of top domestic soloists, including Marjan Jovanoski, Gjorgji Cuckovski, Nikola Stojceski, Aleksandar Stefanoski, Marika Popovic, and Jane Dunimagloski. Together, they will be accompanied by the National Opera and Ballet Choir and Orchestra. 🎤🎻

🔪 A Tragic Tale of Love and Madness
Lucia di Lammermoor is a tragic opera in two acts, with a libretto by Salvatore Cammarano, based on Sir Walter Scott’s novella The Bride of Lammermoor. Premiering in 1835 at Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the opera tells the tragic story of love, betrayal, and madness set in 17th-century Scotland. 🌹
