Lectures and workshops important for the contemporary development of art and culture

Lectures and workshops important for the contemporary development of art and culture, and therefore important for the candidacy of the City of Skopje for European Capital of Culture, as part of international cooperation

Organized in the form of lectures and workshops for the SKOPJE 2028 team, the local cultural operators and the European Diploma participants, these working sessions were led by:

Franco Bianchini (Italy/UK), who covered the topics: „Urban cultural politics and policies in the context of globalization”, „Local cultural policies and social/ethnic diversity: towards intercultural participation? “and „The «Cultural planning» approach and the «Creative city» debate“. (August 29 in the House of Culture Kočo Racin

Jean-Pierre Deru (Belgium) on “Cultural cooperation projects partnerships, and cultural networks” (September 1 at the Museum of Contemporary Art) and

Milena Dragicevic Sesic (Serbia) on the topic “Ethical dilemmas in the contemporary art world: Artists, curators and cultural managers challenges” (September 2 in House of Culture Kočo Racin).

In the Museum of Contemporary Art, the participants of the European Diploma, in a guided tour led by Vladimir Jancevski, had the opportunity to visit the current and permanent exhibitions in the Museum of Contemporary Art and to get acquainted with the history and the work of the institution.
