In the month dedicated to anniversary screenings, the film “How Rock and Roll Failed” will be shown tonight at the Cinematheque

Today, December 3, 2024, at 20:00, the Cinematheque of Macedonia will host a special screening of the legendary Yugoslav feature film How Rock and Roll Fell Apart as part of its month dedicated to anniversary screenings. This iconic film, which premiered 35 years ago, is considered one of the cult achievements of Yugoslav cinema.

How Rock and Roll Fell Apart is a Yugoslav omnibus film that cleverly blends satirical social commentary, absurd humor, and the spirit of the cultural era it represents. Through three interconnected stories, the film explores the impact of rock and roll on the youth of the time, simultaneously celebrating and deconstructing the myth of rock and roll as a symbol of freedom, rebellion, and individualism. It offers a unique perspective on both the music and its cultural implications, making it a must-see for cinema lovers.
