The Deputy Mayor of the City of Skopje, Aleksandar Trajanovski, participated today and addressed the Forum for Cultural Diplomacy-Skopje 2023, which is being held in Skopje from September 4 to 6. The main focus of the international forum that is organized for the first time in the country is “Promoting democracy, unity and peace through cultural diplomacy in the new era of conflicts and violence”.
– On behalf of the City of Skopje, I wish a warm welcome to the large number of guests from the country and abroad. Within the framework of the candidacy for Skopje – European Capital of Culture 2028, it is of great importance that Skopje is currently hosting this renowned international forum for cultural diplomacy, and the City of Skopje is part of the organization and promotion of this event. We are dedicatedly working to confirm that Skopje is always a good host of international events, and this international forum is another great opportunity to affirm our city as a city of culture. The organization of the forum is at a high level and I hope that the participants enjoy the beauty and the rich cultural and historical heritage of our city – said Trajanovski.
The Forum for Cultural Diplomacy – Skopje 2023 is co-organized by the Cabinet of the former President of the Republic of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov, together with the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy from Berlin, the City of Skopje and the International Center “Alliance of Civilizations”. The international forum is attended by former presidents of states, ministers, representatives of the European Parliament, diplomats and academics.
