The exhibition of paintings “Artistic (Po)sistency” by Julijana Gešoska will be opened tonight at the Art Salon of the Youth Cultural Center (YCC).
Born in 1961 in Skopje, Gešoska graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, specializing in Painting in 1990, and completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pristina in 2008, earning a master’s degree in multimedia art.
Gešoska has held numerous solo exhibitions, including:
- “Solo Exhibition of Paintings and Installations” at Daut-Pasha’s Amam, Skopje (1992)
- “Picture in a Picture”, Skopje (2008)
- “The Game of the Nude”, Pula, Croatia (1991)
- “Leave the Hat and Go”, Skopje (1998)
- “Invented Landscape”, Ljubljana, Slovenia (1999)
- Interactive exhibition with passers-by, Rogaška Slatina, Slovenia (1999)
- Multimedia exhibition “Behind the face – a face”, Mala Stanica, National Gallery of Macedonia, Skopje (2005)
- Multimedia exhibition “01.01.200…? 12:00”, Mala Stanica, National Gallery of Macedonia, Skopje (2009)
- Solo exhibition in Pristina (2008)
Her work has been featured in over 30 group exhibitions internationally, across countries such as France, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Turkey, and Bulgaria. Gešoska has also participated in more than 30 art colonies followed by exhibitions.
