“This was a magical screening,” said director Goce Cvetanovski at last night’s premiere of his first feature film “The Business of Pleasure” at the closing of the 22nd edition of the Cinedays European Film Festival in Skopje.

Sophie Linenbaum’s The Ordinary received a Cinedays Gold Star for Best Picture, and this film was also awarded for Best Screenplay by Linenbaum and Michael Fetter Natansky.
Ev Dushman’s Timeout received a Silver Star for Best Director, and Maria Vasquez received a Special Mention for Best Performance in Matriarchy.
The jury included Gabriele Brunemeyer, film expert and mentor, and directors Dina Duma and Erenik Bekiri.
Golden Sun for the best film in the selection of films from South Eastern Europe SEE (South Eastern Europe) received “Cup of coffee and new shoes” by the Albanian author Gentian Koci, and this film also won the award of the film critics.
This jury, which was chaired by Vlatko Galevski and included Stojan Sinadinov and Toni Cifrovski, also awarded the Hungarian “Larry” by screenwriter and director Szilard Bernat.
