🎭 Celebrating 80 Years of the Macedonian National Theatre 🎭

In 2025, the Macedonian National Theatre (MNT), the oldest national professional theatre institution in Macedonia and a cornerstone of the country’s cultural heritage, will celebrate an extraordinary milestoneβ€”80 years of theatrical excellence.

Since its establishment, MNT has been the guardian of Macedonia’s cultural and traditional values, preserving and nurturing the unique theatrical language and identity through its diverse repertoire. The theatre has evolved through various phases: building and cultivating its ensemble, engaging talented creators, maintaining a rich collection of performances, and welcoming international productions. Over the years, MNT has solidified its place on the European and global theatre map, presenting both classical masterpieces and contemporary works, while collaborating with world-renowned directors.

MNT’s mission has always been to broaden the reach of theatre, engaging audiences through artistic expression, education, and cultural awakening. The theatre also aims to inspire young people, encouraging them to explore culture and critically engage with the art of theatre.

In honor of the 80th anniversary, our esteemed long-time collaborator Zoran Kardula has designed a special logo, leaving his signature creative mark on this important milestone for the theatre.

As we reflect on the journey so far, we continue to dream and strive towards creating new, vibrant worlds through theatre for future generations.
