The poetry of one of the greatest Persian poets, Jalaluddin Mevlana Rumi, is a balm for the hearts of countless readers throughout the centuries, and for some time now, we can also read it in Macedonian.
The verses of Rumi, which represent an invaluable world heritage, gain additional beauty when translated by the great wordsmith, Prof. Dragi Mihajlovski. This is also the last translation and interpretation he worked on.
“The Big Red Book,” published by TRI, will be promoted on November 28th (Thursday) at the Cultural and Information Center – Skopje, starting at 19:19.
The event will be moderated by the author Violeta Tančeva-Zlateva, and the authors and translators Ana Pejčinova and Irena Jurčeva will discuss the publication and the translation work of Dragi Mihajlovski.
Surpassing the material boundaries of existence, Rumi’s poetry shapes emotions into a mosaic that represents the totality of human experience. Come and dive together into the verses about divinity, love and passion, longing and friendship, perfectly translated into Macedonian.
